Antwerp Fashion: Where the Locals Actually Shop

Every guide to Antwerp mentions the Antwerp Six and Dries Van Noten, and for good reason — Modepaleis, his store on Nationalestraat, is still one of the best-curated fashion spaces in Europe. But building a whole trip around one designer misses most of what makes Antwerp worth the visit.

Kammenstraat: the actual center of gravity

Kammenstraat is where Antwerp's shopping scene concentrates. We Are Labels Antwerp and Arte both stock a rotating mix of contemporary labels, Rains covers outerwear, and Drip Drops sits at the sneaker-and-streetwear end of the same street. You can cover all of it in under an hour without backtracking.

Lombardenvest: quieter, more considered

One street over, Lombardenvest has a slower pace — Avenue and Monar Antwerp both mix sneakers with fashion in a way that feels more edited than Kammenstraat's density, and Komono, the Antwerp-founded accessories brand, has its own space here too.

Worth the detour

Lockwood, on Lange Klarenstraat, and Vier, near Theodoor van Rijswijckplaats, are both a short walk from the main strip and worth it if you have a half-day rather than an hour.

Antwerp rewards walking more than any other city on this list. Kammenstraat and Lombardenvest are close enough to cover on foot, and the city's fashion reputation holds up well past the one designer everyone already knows.
